Bloodshot eye w/picture

Didn't really know where to put this. My eye was a little bloodshot yesterday, woke up today and its worse. Dunno what's caused it. I wear lenses. No real change to my vision but my eyes feels a bit sore like after you get poked in the eye. There seems to be something I can feel when I look very far right its like a little bubble or something or a bit of dust like that sort of feeling but its not sore or irritable.

Should I get it looked at or leave it and see how it is tomorrow?

Get your blood pressure checked! That was the advice from my nurse mum when this happened to me

Straining on the toilet can cause it, or high BP.

I'll see how it is tomorrow if its still bad and things ill phone my gp, thanks for the suggestions.

Ok so phoned the Dr, no afternoon appointments left, said to try the chemist, went and paid £5 for a bp check first reading was 141/ 104 pulse 77. Second reading 133/99 pulse 77. Chemist reckons its something viral thats raised my bp as my body's fighting it. Doesn't think its linked to my eye though.

Its your eye, go to an optician. Boots are pretty easy to get an appointment with.

OP, i would have said that looks like a Sub Conjunctival haemorrhage, which typically happens in a sudden, unprovoked way, though can happen after violent vomiting, or during labour. ( it's typically painless and resolves within a few days)
However, since you describe a feeling of something in it, a bit "gritty"? I would go into an optician ( many good, independent opticians will see you, examine you, even if youre not a pt. of theirs...alternatively, A&E, I would get it checked out, eyes are not to be trifle with. All the best.

Thanks for the replies im calling the gp tomorrow and if theres no change in the eye ill call in to the opticians as well.
