Does anyone else have a mixture of all of these conditions?

Hypermobility spectrum disorder
Polycystic ovaries
Fibromyalgia
Migranes.

If so how do you cope? I feel like my body is deteriorating rapidly. My hands swell, my shoulders keep dislocating, i fall over all the time, i have ibs, prediabeties, i get tension headaches and aura migranes that are debilitating. When i do get a period its like thick heavy clots and i can go for months without. I dont sleep. Im growing a beard. I feel the cold so badly. I am overweight. I never have any energy and im so depressed and anxious.

I dont know what so to with myself. its like who i was 3 years ago is gone. Im like a 36 year old trapped in an older persons body. I was told to apply for pip by the rheumatology specialist as i can no longer work my manual job but im not holding up much hope.

Yes, although I have hEDS and while I have PMOS (PCOS just got renamed) I had my last period ten years ago. Are you able to get your periods stopped via your hormone treatment of choice? At least then you won't have that to deal with, and controlling the hormone fluctuations goes a long way to helping our joint laxity.

The genuine answer to how I cope is...a day at a time. I have Chronic Pain as opposed to a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia but they're basically the same. I operate at a basic pain level of a 5 on the silly pain scale. I've done an awful lot of mindfulness - the type they get you doing at the Pain Clinic - and it does genuinely help, to a point. It doesn't take the pain away or stop my joints dislocating but it helps me cope with it.

Are you able to take anything for pain and migraines? I have an opioid allergy so I have been genuinely left with just paracetamol. Getting the pain levels under control is such a huge part of it.

Managing multiple conditions like yours can be overwhelming. It's important to work with healthcare providers and consider lifestyle changes, support groups, and therapy to help cope.

Hi OP 👋
I'd literally love to have no health problems at all, but I had a head injury and post concussion syndrome a decade ago before being permanently injured by an off label antipsychotic prescribed for severe insomnia and anxiety. It gave me a neurological involuntary movement disorder called tardive dyskinesia that is a bit like Tourette's and Parkinson's disease combined 💔

I've always had migraines too, plus I'm going through perimenopause and have felt terrible at times over the past decade. My health was certainly manageable even a few years ago when I was trying to be able to exercise properly and did a lot of running, but now i feel too tired and quite depressed at times.

My brain conditions have certainly made me feel very unwell, and having perimenopause symptoms on top havd made things worse at times. I think if I could exercise properly again, I'd definitely feel a lot better.

It's hard, and I truly empathise and understand. I think it's something most people aren't ever able to fully understand unless they have been through similar issues.
