I have one. Tonight when playing netball I basically peed myself. Just gushed out. I have been living with it but something needs to be done. Any advice? So depressing.

I'm sorry, that's a rotten thing to have happened. First port of call should be a specialist women's health physio, it might be possible to self-refer yourself or go through the GP.

What sort of help have you had so far and what age are you? A woman's health physio can give advice on exercises though you can find them online. A GP can insert a pessary. If you are past having a family, a hysterectomy might be the answer. If you are past menopause, oestrogen cream helps with incontinence issues.
I would ask for a referral to Urogynaecology.

I’m 60. I am a healthy active woman and I’m on hrt. I don’t fancy a pessary tbh.

I will go to go and seek out a woman’s physio.

i think a hysterectomy is a bit drastic maybe?

I completely sympathise with you, I also have a prolapse, and have been on the waiting list for a partial hysterectomy for over 40 weeks, every day is a struggle now.

I’ve been to women’s physio and the said that my pelvic floor is strong she scored it 4 out of 5 and said to keep doing what I’m doing, I have done everything they’ve advised, exercise, weight loss etc and it just keeps getting worse, my uterus now protrudes from my body around 80% of the time, and it’s so uncomfortable to walk, have sex, do any sort of exercise and it just gets worse when I’m on a period.
gyno care is atrocious! My only advice is to get to doc and get on wait list asap because it takes so long to get anything done

I think a mix of pelvic physiotherapy and also see your GP and potentially urology as there is medication they can use to help. Both is the best as they can support each other and depending on the severity you may need medical options as well.

I'd see your GP and see what they recommend, and depending on what they say/what you're willing to try, maybe ask for a referral to urology or uro-gyne (mix of gynaecologists who've done extra urology training or urologists who've done extra gyne training).

There's medications you can try, and for more severe cases, injections of botox and other meds, and sometimes nerve stimulation things not just pessaries and they aren't always as extreme as they seem but its better to be properly informed about all the options from those most qualified. As well as topical vaginal oestrogen creams which I'd ask your GP to prescribe if you aren't already on it.

Has anyone used one of those infrared internal devices to tighten things up?
