Yes. Bupa for several years.

greengreengrass3 · 14/01/2026 21:51

Yes, Bupa and we wouldn’t be without it

Slothey · 14/01/2026 21:54

Yes, but as a taxable benefit through work. It has been amazing for me and I’ve used it several times, but I might not find it worth it if I had to pay the full price.

Changefromsugartolard · 14/01/2026 21:57

Yes and have had over £30k of treatment over the past two years.

wiffin · 14/01/2026 22:10

I don't pay for it, but have it through work.

Depends why you want to have it (rapid access to GP? Presumption of shorter wait to see a specialist) and how much you're prepared to pay. It's insurance and you're only covered for what you pay for. And it's sometimes only a proportion. Eg you might be covered for an MRI up to £350. But the MRI costs £500, so you have to pay the excess. You might be covered for a consultation, but not the recommended treatment.

Like any insurance, the company is making a profit. It's not a 'fast NHS with no limits on health care, plus private rooms with nice food'.

We have it through DH work (taxable benefit) - on the rare occasion that we’ve used it, it’s been excellent.
