Can't empty bladder - prolapse

I had a partial prolapse when my youngest was born 5 years ago, I have been able to manage it mostly only gives me pain when I'm on my period but lately I have been having trouble emptying my bladder and I fear it's all connected. For context I get up every night to pee and never lose that feeling of wanting to do a wee.

The prolapse has never caused this problem before but I am wondering if it's all connected as I am getting a little older now too. I should do pelvic floor exercises I know but I fear I'm passed that stage now.

Any advice from someone who has been there would be hugely appreciated right now

It certainly is all connected and you need to ask your GP to refer you to a urogynaecologist ( a gynaecologist who specialises in pelvic floor disorders) and also a pelvic physiotherapist. In my long history with this, the pelvic physios are very good at determining exactly what is going on where.

@Cantpeewontpee you could search online for "pelvic health physiotherapy" self-referral using your town/county details.

There is also a pessary you could have fitted if you think that would be a useful option

If you can't empty your bladder at all, thats an emergency and you need to go to A&E.
