Prolapse and Shapewear - been told I can’t wear it anymore, what on earth do I wear instead?!

I had my third child this year and shortly after I realised I had prolapsed. It’s mild, I don’t need any intervention yet, I just need to keep up the pelvic floor exercises. But I’ve been told you can’t wear shapewear/tummy control underwear if you have a prolapse.
Which is extremely frustrating because in my second pregnancy I had to have a c-section and it left me with a “shelf” on my tummy. So everyday I wore what I would describe as “light/mild” tummy control underwear just to smooth over the shelf and clothes just sat so much better on my stomach.
Now I just can’t imagine not being able to wear light tummy control underwear! Prolapse in itself feels such a despair, and it’s like an added upset that I can’t even wear the one item of clothing that smoothed out my c-section shelf.
any else felt the same? Or managed to come to a solution? But I doubt there is one?

I’m wondering who told you that you can’t wear control underwear? I had a prolapse (now surgically repaired) but the physio actually recommended specific support underwear for my pelvic floor which had the benefit of tummy support.

These were expensive but a lifesaver for me.

Specific prolapse support underwear is completely different from shapewear. It has to be carefully fitted, usually by a specialist physio.

Thank you for your replies. The physio I see said standard shapewear shouldn’t be worn any more - you know the standard tummy control underwear from M&S. Which is what I’ve lived in daily for years!
After losing myself down a Google rabbit hole, that too confirms no shapewear to be worn if you have prolapse.
Maybe I should look at the specific prolapse underwear with a physio, but £50 for everyday underwear is a very expensive alternative. Thanks for the link though, appreciate it.

@SuzieYellow I agree that it’s expensive so I bought two pairs and would wear normal knickers underneath so I didn’t have to change them every day. I then managed to alternate and wash the pair I wasn’t wearing in between.
The physio I had (specialist women’s pelvic physio) recommended them to me.
