Soreness/ irritation down below

Hi ladies,

I just wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same or something similar.
I often experience soreness and irritation down there but I haven’t any itching or unusual discharge. I have been to the doctors on several occasions and all they seem to say that I am a bit dry and to use some moisturising cream. I use almond oil after I shower and sometimes e45 but doesn’t always make a difference. I find this issue greatly affecting my sex life as it’s often painful despite using lube.

Has anyone with similar issue tried or found something that’s worked for them long term? Any advice or tips given would be massively appreciated. Thanks

Any chance you are close to menopause? Low levels of oestrogen can cause this - burning/itching/on fire feeling. HRT makes a big difference- you can also get topical oestrogen cream/pessaries that will help.

We are allowed to mention body parts on here . Vaginas and labia are just words . How old are you ? I ask because it sounds like your Dr is suggesting you have reached an age where you might need more than the body can provide .
You will also need to put it on more than just after showering .
There are many vaginal lubricants and creams to use , you will just have to find something that suits you . A good one I've found is called Yes Vm .
You could also go back to the Dr and ask them to prescribe something like vagifem pessaries which are used long term .

Tbh I don't think the Dr would be keen to prescribe Vagifem at 30 so I'd go back to the idea of regularly using a moisturiser . Some try coconut oil and get on ok ( as long as no nut allergy )

@WinterBerry40i will give that a go again. It’s meant to be moisturising
