Post menopausal bleed

I'm just looking for anyone who has had and can share their experience of an appointment under the 2 week pathway for post menopausal bleeding.
I'm booked in for Monday. I'm not overly anxious, in fact I'm grateful that this is being investigated so quickly. I'm just curious as to what the appointment will entail. The lady on the phone just said a scan then a consultation.

I have. I saw a consultant who took a history.. then a pelvis ultrasound which included transvagjnal. Then back to the consultant who had a look at my cervix and removed a polyp there and then.
The whole appt took about 40 mins. Was a brilliant service all round.

Like pp I had the scan and was then sent for a hysteroscopy as the scan detected a thickened lining. They took a biopsy from the lining and I received the all clear a couple of weeks later. It's a good service and one part of the NHS that works efficiently.
I know people have horror stories about having a hysteroscopy but honestly it was fine.

I have too (twice). Both times went for a scan which was initially done externally with a full bladder then I had to empty my bladder and go back in for a transvaginal scan. Both times I then got referred for a hysteroscopy and had a polyp removed both times and a biopsy. If you have a hysteroscopy without a general anaesthetic have gas and air, it is a bit painful. All the referrals and results were really quick, the service was excellent.

Thanks for the replies , I've had a transvaginal scan before years ago and a polyp removed last year so good to know these maybe a possibility. @ClairDeLaLune thank you for the gas and air suggestion. When I had the polyp removed I had to make them stop and give me a local anaesthetic.
