If you had high risk HPV and it went away, how long did it take and how did you clear it?

Just this really, I have high risk HPV , not 16 or 18 but it's still a high risk one. I also had CIN 3 cells which I got a LLETZ procedure for.
I really want to rid myself of this. I got my HPV vaccine recently and also thinking of buying AHCC supplements to really boost my immune system. Any advice or experience with clearing HPV would be much appreciated, thank you.

It never really goes away, mine comes and goes! Some smears are positive and some are negative. I don’t think you can do anything about it I’m afraid.

I think for me a couple of years. Been clear for 15 years now.

I had a clear test of cure after lletz and am now back on normal recall. I’ve been ttc 4 years and so had given up alchohol (two years in) which I think probably helped my body fight it.

terrified to read your experience @FancyCatSlave but glad to hear it can be cleared for 15 years like @Tinyt3

i nearly died from severe haemorrhage after lletz and I don’t think I can do it again so here’s hoping. My sister had high risk hpv, never needed further treatment and has never had it show up on a smear again.

I go in and out of it, so negative for years and years, then positive for a while, then back to negative. It’s really not unusual for it to be dormant and then flare.

I had a smear just after DD born which was negative then by the next one was positive again and at the one after that it was negative again. This has happened quite a few times now. It isn’t anything to worry about though, I had colposcopy not that long ago for CIN1 but that cleared without treatment.

But surely it is something if to worry about @FancyCatSlave . Cin3 cells are pre-cancerous cells and that’s what high risk hpv causes. And as the treatment can cause you to haemorrhage to the point of needing transfusions and platelets. I seriously do not want to see hpv on a smear again. Though I think I had a high risk one, maybe yours is lower hence not a worry?

Lletz procedure removed mine and been negative since.
