Had bartholin's cyst removed and now it's back!

I had a large Bartholin's cyst for years. It wasn't infected or painful so I just ignored it. 3 weeks ago I was having a general anaesthetic for a hysteroscopy and biopsy for something else and the gynaecologist said she could remove the cyst at the same time (marsupialisation).
It all went well and was healing fine until today when it's suddenly swollen back to its original size.
I'm not sure what to do. Do I try to call hospital gynae department where they removed the cyst? Do I go to GP? Do I just have hot Sitz baths?
Please tell me the operation wasn't a complete waste of time 😭

You should post it on the Sporners Corner board, they love that kind of thing.

Back to the hospital in case it's a post surgery infection.

Oh no 😭
I'm terrible at navigating hospital systems. Do I call the gynae dept? Or the day surgery ward where I was seen? Or do you mean I should just go to A&E?

I'd call the gyne ward and let them know, see what they say and go from there. They'll be a phone number on the website. If that doesn't work, I'd call 111 as well and go from there. They might want to check if its an infection and rule out some other things.

I called the hospital switchboard and asked to speak to the gynae ward and was told I can't speak to any doctors and I'll have to go to A&E. Apparently the wait time in A&E is 4 hours so I really don't want to do that.
I'm wondering if I should call GP in the morning.

I would call 111, often they can direct you to an out of hours clinic etc, so call them and go from there.
