Exposed sore feeling of clitoris

Hi,

I’m unsure where I go with this, it is the second occasion I’ve felt like I’ve a live wire of a clit it is so sore but doesn’t effect toileting, no stinging no other itching and could be linked to periods(?) as signs of ovulation means a return. I don’t believe a gynae is going to see me if they refused for a fibroid that doesn’t exceed 5cm. GP wants to throw thrush creams at it without taking a look. I presume a chemist will just keep giving thrush stuff too and can’t take a look.

There had been mentions in the past of vaginal atrophy (made by a sexual health clinic at time of trying to remove a coil) but no one has formally written this into medical records and HRT is off the table.

I’ve started wondering if it could be sexual (?) but then I’m conflicted as I read on a daye site problems with clit can be diabetes related. 🥹

I tried an internal vaginal estrogen cream from a private gynaecologist (way before this clit problem) who also didn’t examine but after just 1 application, days later grow an alien ball of fluid off the leg with an association of blood clot that required surgery and has wreaked my life as I knew it, so I really don’t know where to go from here. Apart from being very lucky to have a fibroid not give me trouble any longer following a totally unconnected surgery. The only godsend.

I can’t sit in a bath, I do have some lube, plenty of canesten, natural yoghurt, Savlon in the house - if anyone knows of what may work 🙏 I definitely wouldn’t say the clit has decreased in size and these periods make me think still a little way from menopause.

Have you pull the hood back slightly and checked to see if it all looks ok? Any new clothes with a rough seam, or new underwear?

You’ve a point, when I just had my once weekly shower, how could I forget that, there has been quite a smell. Thank you 🙏 time to bring back that women’s hp wash that I use to use when swimming, thank you again.

OP, it's worth trying topical estrogen cream. See your GP and request estriol cream.1% You can just use a little externally if you don't want to apply internally. It plumps up the tissues and should make you a lot more comfortable.
