When should we contact our GP

My 81 year old mum has had on/off UTI's for a long time. Her latest batch of Ciprofloxacin antibiotics has finished, but she says her symptoms are still the same (burning, need to wee, feeling of incomplete bladder emptying). She finished her last dose last night. When should we contact the GP next to let them know this?
TIA.

This morning, I would think. No point in waiting if it's not improved.

Has she been examined? At a similar age we thought my grandma had on/off UTIs but she had a prolapse.

Definitely today. I’ve had recurrent UTIs which eventually defeated the first line antibiotic and the infections started spreading to my kidneys, which was agonising.

She's only been examined by the GP pressing her stomach and pressing her back, but nothing vaginally. She's had about five courses of Nitrofurantoin since summer last year.

GP, push for a hospital referral. My grandmother had “recurrent UTIs” and it was bladder cancer
