Can anyone recommend a good daily vaginal moisturiser? It feels so uncomfortable down there! I’m quite sensitive to creams and gels, so I’m looking for something hypoallergenic.

It really depends on age...are you menopausal and on HRT? C
Could be due to low oestrogen.
Have you tried vagicil?
You need to give more information and maybe also see your GP.

Go to your doctor!
He can prescribe something really helpful.

You might waste a ton of money on over counter creams and gels when your GP might think you are at a time of life when a hormone cream might be more suitable.

I use gina10 and it’s a game changer for me.

I use this one. My GP recommended it to me. I really notice it if I don’t.

The above link for yes yes yes is great, I went to a women’s health conference last year for work and there was a stand for hyalofemme and samples which was received really well by my patients, it includes hyalauronic acid to plump the tissues. I think it’s available from boots. Can also be used alongside HRT and topical oestrogen if menopausal and already on these.

You need oestrogen vaginal cream - Ovestin and to use it regularly and consistently for at least 3 months and then continue to use it long term twice a week.

I’m 49. Periods like clockwork. No perimenopausal symptoms other than this. It started a few weeks ago and I just want to be comfortable. I’m not anti oestrogen but I’m happy to try a daily lubricant which I can buy otc first before moving onto oestrogen gel. I currently have a gynae who basically doesn’t believe in perimenopause - exact quote when I tentatively asked him questions on how he approaches perimenopause ‘Honestjy, all women go through menopause, it is NOT an illness, it does not need treating prior to the menopause, come back for HRT when you haven’t had a period for a year’. He also told me he wouldn’t give me HRT in any case due to a previous blood clot history which I know is incorrect information, the patches are fine. No point arguing with this arrogant 60 year old man. I just nodded and thought ‘well I’m not fkn coming to you for perimenopause advice then!’. Haven’t found a new gynae yet. He’ll do for now, for regular check ups etc!

Also look up Dr Naomi Potter on instagram and youtube. Some brilliant peri-menopause and menopause advice.

Try Yes VM. My GP recommended that one to me

okydokethen · 27/04/2025 07:56

I’m in the same dry boat! Symptoms only started this year, I’m 41 but it’s constant, not painful but unpleasant. Will also try the yes suggestion - thank you.
