Barothlin's cyst and 14 weeks pregnant. Advice what to do?

Hello,

I am 14 weeks pregnant after multiple early miscarriages. I had my 12 weeks as can which is fine. However, since Friday (4 days now) I could feel something stinging and sore around my genital area on the left side when I walk and bend to pick something up it hurts. I realized I might have a Barothlin's cyst because I had this back Sept 2023 I wasn't pregnant at that time, had antibiotics made no difference and tried the warm baths which made the cyst worse it swelled up there was no head and I ended up in A&E where it was drained and then had a course of Antibiotics.
The lump is exactly the same position as it was in 2023 and the gp had a look today and says it seems like a Barothlin's cyst which is inflamed but the lump is quite small so I can walk and sit. She has prescribed antibiotics and said they are safe to take whilst pregnant and said to try warm compress. If it gets worse then to go A&E urgently.
I am very apprehensive to try the warm compression have reason many threads that it eventually settled or drained itself.
However, my question is can you do warm compression if there is no tip/head formed mine is just a lump?
When I tried the warm bath and compress the cyst just became bigger size of 2 grapes did not pop and I was in agony and ended in A&E.
So can I still try the warm compress if there is no head will this not make it worse?
Looking for help as I feel so discomfort and pain.

I had this last week. It is really awful. I am not pregnant though.

I think the warm compress is just a soothe things to be honest, mine didn't have a head on either. I added epsom salts to the bath and soaked in that, but you will need to check on whether that is safe during pregnancy.

I didn't go the the gp, but I put collodial silver cream on the area, and it started to get less inflamed almost right away. I wish I had started to use it from day 1 and not day 3 now.

Wear cotton and loose clothing, although they say to have a sitz bath, I found just a normal bath easier. I hope it starts to ease soon.

Anyone please?
Should I leave it alone? It's small so not in extreme pain like last time but there is pain and stinging sensation when I walk and bend down.
However, previously doing the warm compress made it ten times worse as it never formed a head or tip just became so swollen so ended up in A&E
I am pregnant after a very long time facing infertility issues so just want to be careful

@murphys
Thank you for your reply. Where did you buy collodial silver cream from?
I am in London the only thing that I have tried before seeing the gp was sudocream as it is cold it helped to ease the pain and soreness a bit.
If you don't mind me asking did yours go after using this cream? Or did it drain or popped?
I need to find out if I can use colloidal silver cream during pregnancy?
Gp didn't mention any ointments or creams at all just given antibiotics

I live in another country but here it's widely available at pharmacies. I just had it anyway as I use it as excema treatment.

It didn't pop and drain, it just reduced massively in size after using the cream.

I don't really know if it was the cream or a Epsom salt bath that helped the most as I was doing both.

I didn't see the gp though. If yours has given you antibiotics, I think you need to give these a few days to work.

I was in a lot of pain for about 3 days. Walking and sitting was challenging.

I saw on some videos that people also use witch hazel and tea tree oil but I don't think that is a good route for you at the moment.

I just used a warm compress on mine and eventually it burst by itself. The relief was immense. Personally I’d just try to grin and bear it, especially as you’re pregnant. I used to just lay in bed with the compress, it did soothe the pain.

@Puppupandaway
Thank u for your message. I am so reculant to try any warm compression and warm baths as it previously became so swollen there was no drainage and I was in so much pain ended up in A&E.
Not sure what to do as I am pregnant will try the antibiotics, but I have applied sudocream and that provides some temporary relief. I can walk but when I lift my left leg every step it hurts. I mean I don't know how long I can cope because of daily routine. at the moment when I lay down I have relief there is no pain or stinging, but I can't lay in bed all day. The course of Antibiotics are for 7 days given by gp and will continue with sudocream but if there is no difference then I will go back to gp. If it was to eventually just be a painless lump then no bother, but the pain and stinging is really bad 😞
I am a bit surprised usually with swelling I thought ice pack would be better because with hot or warm compression the thing would just swell up.
