So I had a baby two years ago and since then I've noticed a fair few changes within my health some ive experienced for years,
these are:-
*Blurred vision that seems to be getting worse. I had a eye test 2months ago and no abnormalities were found.
*pain and numbness in my right arm and hand, I cant sleep on the side as it's too painful. This issue is also starting to affect my job.
*pins and needle sensation in my feet.
*weight gain
*I get dizzy when I stand or bend down or even just move to quickly.
- i can feel my heart race regularly
*excessively sweat
*extremely heavy periods
-
I feel jittery and on edge all the time.
-
my whole body aches, no amount of rest, warm baths and pain killers fix it.
-
I feel unnecessarily tired all the time it's affecting almost all aspects of my daily life as I've no energy. I'm scared to even sit down in the day as I instantly fall asleep. Come 1pm onwards i feel a very rapid crash in energy levels.
My mum very suddenly died last year. It was mentioned that she had some underlying issues with her thyroid. Her main symptom of this was very high blood pressure, due to this she died of two large brain aneurysms which popped at the same time, she was only 58.
My dad also died of a brain aneurysm he was 42 and his mum died of a abdominal aneurysm at the age of 41.
I have epilepsy which has been controlled for 13 years with medication. I'm only 34 and don't want to die young like my parents.
Should I go and have a chat with my GP? Can and what tests can I request?. I'm very awkwardly autistic and am not brave enough to advocate for myself. I'm worried that they'll fob me off telling me it's normal because im running around after a small child all day, I have spoken to them last year regarding my heavy periods and all they wanted to do was fit a coil which I feel isn't getting to the bottom of the issue.
Has anyone suffered with these symptoms and it's turned out to be a thyroid issue? what happend? Were you offered tests? Will i need my thyroid removed? Im sorry for the long post i need a mum right now and this is the best place to find one.
