Hey, I haven’t done a post I’m on here before so not sure how it works in terms of reaching people but just hoping to get some answers from people in a similar situation.
I recently had a blood test done by the GP and was called in after the results came back, my serum TSH level was 25.09 so I have now been put on medication for under active thyroid. My doctor said my result is severe, it’s only til I’ve come out then I am trying to understand it all. I’m 10 month pp and breastfeeding, does this affect the result at all? (No issues with milk supply). I just feel in dis belief, although I have some of the symptoms I just feel a bit shocked by it that I went in for something else and now I’m on medication for life? Like I just think surely something has altered the result? I’m absolutely exhausted but I’ve always put that down to two babies under 3. Can breastfeeding alter this result? Is it linked in any way? There isn’t much info out there.
Does any one have the same level, if so how long did it take to go down?
any help is appreciated, thank you 😃
