I have terrible external piles, so itchy, the skin is weeping and broken in places.

What is the best product to use.

Go to the doctor 🌷

Agree, see your GP as you may need somehing stronger than otc meds. If you have to wait for an appointment Anusol can help in the meantime.
Also you could get a Sitz bath (it rests on top of the loo) so you can bathe the area in warm salty water regularly. It saves having to sit in a bath to get relief and can be really soothing. You have my sympathy though it's miserable.

Thanks, I have a lot going on 'down there' at the moment and am awaiting the result of a meeting with the urologist and colorectal doctor. I was going to wait until I spoken to or had a consultation with the 'Bum Doctor'. I may have to bite the bullet and see the GP. In the meantime perhaps speak to pharmacist. I have been draping my bottom over the side of the bath and using the shower attachment to cleanse. A sitz bath might be easier!

Re the piles, yes the Sitz bath means you can sit for a while and soak them which will ease the discomfort. Do get some otc pile cream, or even some sudocreme in the meantime, plus to shrink them an ice pack held against them can help. As they subside you may be able to push them back inside.Good luck with your other appointments, l hope you don't have to wait too long.
