Endless trush infections (cheating partner)

Hi,
Just looking for some experiences and advices.
I have repeating trush since last December (I had it previously when I was pregnant in 2019 , but that's it).
Looks like it comes back every single time I have sex with my husband. He is usually away for 3-5 days for work. So it's always a few days gap when I'm treating myself with Canesten and him with Clotrimazol.
Last week I found some evidence that he is probably cheating. Still trying to "research " some things.
Booked test for STD, obviously no more sex.
Does anyone experienced the same thing? I know one of my friends suffered from endless infections while her husband was sleeping with other women.

I’m sorry to hear you have concerns re your partner. An STI test is an excellent idea.

Wirh regard to the thrush, I thought it was a bit of a myth that you caught thrush from your partner? Vigorous activity would be likely to aggravate thrush so symptoms may feel worse after sex. If you speak to GP, they can take a swap. If that comes back positive for thrush then the usual treatment for chronic thrush is tablet (fluxonezole - not sure spelt that correctly!) every 3 days for 3 doses and then weekly for six months.

Or the clotrimazol cream is really to prevent re-infection and so has never cleared his thrush. So you’ve been passing thrush back and forth between you?

He should take the oral thrush pill just like you at the same time and then you both should be using the clotrimazol cream (cream or pessary for you).

The chronic thrush is a good call…some strains are resistant to the usual OTC thrush oral pill and creams and you both need to get a prescription with stronger antifungal to knock it on its head.

Thank you, I'll ask my GP. It drives me crazy, I never had it for months...
