Had TV ultrasound and endometrial biopsy - repeat ultrasound 6 weeks later?

I've had postmenopausal bleeding and have had an ultrasound and a pipelle biopsy 3 weeks ago. I have just received a letter for another ultrasound 3 weeks from now.
I am very worried as I thought either they would send me for hysteroscopy or say they found something bad. I am worried this is not normal procedure. I am 59. I haven't received any results yet.
Can anyone help advise?

I am worried they lost my results and I will be diagnosed too late.

I only got my biopsy results after 6 weeks and me chasing them! Just give the gyne secretaries a call for biopsy results (they then sent me a letter with results)

It is good they are keeping a close eye on you with another scan. Xx

It's good - they're checking to see if there's any change in thickness. If there isn't, that gives more information than just referring straight for hysteroscopy, and if there is, that gives information that could expedite an appointment.

There's also the advantage that it's non invasive and easier to access quickly - a significant number of women request/need general anaesthesia for hysteroscopy, which can make it a longer wait.

I'd therefore say try not to panic, it's a sensible course of action for them to take.
