Varicose/thread vein treatment recommendations

Hello,
I’m based up north near Manchester and I’m looking to have a varicose vein treated and a few thread veins.
Does anyone have any experience of this or recommendations?
Thanks!

Following with interest! I had mine stripped on the NHS years ago but they are back with a vengeance. I have had a consultation and scan at the Veincentre in Liverpool but stupidly chickened out of the treatment. I haven’t looked but I presume they have a clinic near Manchester too?
I would recommend them on my experience so far, the consultant and the staff I met there were all lovely and very thorough. I am psyching myself up to returning and getting rid of my hideous veins!

I had some varicose veins done - one on the inside of my knee and my shin - I had the thing where they inject the foam into them.

2 years later and the shin is still fine, but a little one has come back on my knee.

It was painful - sting doesn't cover it - it was like they were injecting acid into my vein (which I suppose they kind of were). I realised I was feeling dizzy at one point and they had to put the bed down so I could be lying rather than sitting up.

Then I had to wear a compression stocking ankle to knee, continuously for (I think) 4 weeks - after the first week I could take it off to wash (thank god)

Overall, I'm glad I did it, but I'm not sure I'm going to do it again with the little one that came back.

Thanks, where did you have it done? I had the same thing 10 years ago before kids at the Whiteley Clinic x

I've had endovenous laser treatment for very bad varicose veins under sedation a few times - didn't hurt at any time and a series of sclerotherapy injections in others that sting a bit.
