HPV vaccine experiences

I wasn’t sure where to post so I’m hoping someone can advise me here.
My DD13 had her HPV vaccine and she fainted shortly after. Since then she has had dizziness, headache, nausea and fatigue.
Im aware it comes with side effects but I wasn’t expecting them to be this extreme.
Can anyone share their experiences of having the vaccine or their teen daughter’s please?
I’m just looking for reassurance it’s normal and will pass. Unfortunately I’ve been told a few horror stories of the side effects being permanent and causing other horrific symptoms. Tia

Mine fainted too but it was her first injection (that she can remember of course) and it transpires she has an aversion to needless, which is quite common.

My point is, she felt weak, nauseous and dizzy afterwards but it all down to the thought of the injection.

Our daughter was amongst the first cohort to receive the vaccine. We paid for our son to have it privately some years later.

We have never heard of negative experiences. We’re just immensely grateful that our (now adult) children are protected.

(Nice try, reported)

Thank you, it’s a relief to know it has happened to others (although not nice for them of course) and yes I’m super grateful that it exists and will protect DD, I am just a worrier and have health anxiety so the reassurance is appreciated

Bit harsh, it was a reasonable question OP asked IMO…

Only just noticed that. Reported for what?

I was one of the first to get it as well, and I didn't have a bad experience. However lots of girls that age are terrified of needles (I was) so this alone can make them faint and feel a bit funny for a while afterwards. I think the key thing is rest, water and enough food. Hope she feels better soon.

BTW, this is an entirely reasonable question as I know several young women who fainted after having the jab. Most of the time it was due to the stress/worry about the injection itself.

Dd was unwell when nurse was doing them at school so had hers later at our GP’s surgery. She was ok.
In a way I was glad that it was at the surgery as she would be very stressed at school.
