Depo Injection / Sertraline

I have been suffering with bad anxiety for the the last few months and I am due to start sertraline. I came off the depo in October and have gone back on it again on Tuesday (14th). Have been on and off it a couple times for the past 7 years with no issues and I love it because I don't get a period. I am having some side effects at the minute (spots and mood swings - nearly burst into tears because my tv wasn't working before lol) and was wondering if anyone else had the same experience and how long it lasted? I don't remember it being like this last time but I either don't remember or wasn't paying much attention. I was also wondering if it's worth waiting a week or two until my body gets used to the depo before starting sertraline so my mood swings aren't as bad? I have been on sertraline before and remember it was quite rough for the first couple weeks but I eventually got on okay with it. Any advice welcome :)

I don't know how the two interact, but I want to let you know, my Sertraline has been great for my anxiety. hopefully the doctor explained to you, you are likely to get about a month of unpleasant side effects (loss of appetite, nausea, feeling dizzy or shaky, occasional slurring, night sweats etc)
when I started taking it, I had all that. but I started feeling less anxious right away.

so DO expect to have unpleasant side effects for a while, but it's been great for my mental health. a lot of SSRIs can make me feel really disconnected. with Sertraline I still feel like myself, just less anxious.

@CrowleyKitten Thanks so much for your response that's so reassuring to hear! I remember when I went on it a few years ago it was hard with the side effects but I remember it was really good for getting me back to a good baseline eventually. I have been dreading going on it again but I'm feeling a bit better about it because of your comment thank you:)

hope it goes well for you.
if you're working, and your employers are sympathetic to that sort of thing, it's worth warning them about the side effects, in case they have concerns that you're drunk. (dizziness, slurring, shaking etc. doesn't look good if you don't know why) fortuately mine were very understanding. there was a staff meeting where someone else explained they were diabetic, and what to do if you saw certain signs. then they asked us if anyone else had any similar things they would feel better about the rest of the team knowing about. when I mentioned the side effects of my new medication, one of the other girls came up to me after the meeting, fistbumped me, and asked "sertraline sisters? you'll be okay"
