Hi all,
Sorry for the TMI photo but is this a normal sized clot? That sounds stupid but I never pass clots in my period and I'm quite freaked out by this!
I've been spotting for agers and just passed this and I have quite bad cramps.
Thanks.

If its not normal for you please see the GP and get checked. (But yes people do sometimes pass clots of this size)

Are you nearing perimenopause age? I used to pass clots like that when I was a teenager and I am now I’m in perimenopause. It might be a hormonal stage you’re at.

Thank you for replying.

See the GP as in today or just ring on Monday? @Valhalla17

I'm 32 so I don't think so. @FatFilledTrottyPuss

After birth I was told to contact about any thing bigger than a 50p coin. So if this has randomly happened I’d get some advice from gp

Looks normal

After birth yes...which is not the case here (as far as I can tell from the OP)

Seek medical advice I’d say .. unless you pass more clots or any that are bigger in size or if you develop any new symptoms, then contact urgent out of hours care.

I am not medically qualified or fit to give advice btw… just saying what I’d do in your situation.

That looks like it could be a decidual cast (Google it!). I had it years ago and thought I had passed a very small foetus initially!

I've had both clots from a miscarriage and from a massive haemorrhage a year before (caused by cervical surgery). If that's a standalone clot, based on my own experience, I would not be panicking. It looks more similar to my miscarriage clots/the pregnancy tissue itself. Obviously there are many other bleeding/large clot reasons (polyps I think are another large clot reason) You should definitely ask for nhs advice from your doc. And if you're worried call 111 who will put you at ease/put you through to a doctor who would advise, but yeah, if it's an anomaly I would not panic.

Thank you all for replying and your advice.

Tw
I've taken a pregnancy test this afternoon as I had some more smaller clots and thought I better had if I was going to speak to GP etc
I had a faint positive so am assuming this is a miscarriage sadly.

Thanks again.
