Bad ovulation pain

Ever since having my daughter last year my periods have been late and the pain I get the time I ovulate is horrendous.

I get cramps, feel dizzy, sick and have pains in my sides. Is this normal?

I've had a scan an internal one and I was told everything looks fine no abnormalities or cysts etc but I've never had this before... every month I've had it and it's blooming awful 😔

You were right to get a check. How was the birth. Did to go OK. ?

Lallydallydune · 24/11/2024 14:04

I feel your pain as doctors don't take women's health that seriously and a lot of it is guesswork

Are there any women's health centres near you tl help you.

If you go on the pill it might help your periods.?

The birth was fine no complications or anything.

Well took a while for my placenta to come out had to be manually done by a doctor 🤢

But apart from that it was fine.

I've tried a couple of pills but they just don't agree with me, I put weight on, or get bad acne or I end up being an irritated dragon constantly.

I used to be on a pill before and it worked well but I was high risk for blood clots and they told me I wouldn't be prescribed it again it was the only one that I didn't get bad side effects from.

I was having terrible pain before my periods.

Doctor sent me for an ultrasound they told me there was nothing wrong.

I decided to pay for a private scan. In that scan they told me that they found a fibroid in my womb.

If you can afford it, sometimes paying a private company to do an internal exam can give you more information

Edited

I've just googled fibroids and I also get pain and discomfort after sex. I thought I had an std so had the tests done, all come back clear but it just hasn't gone. It's blooming awful.

To me it sounds like it could possibly be a fibroid.

In my experience the health system is extremely slow and doesnt care that much about womens health care.. It can be worthwhile to pay a private ultrasound company to do another internal scan for you. Mine cost about 60 pounds. It's up to you. But I found it worthwhile

I get this. I've had scans (external and internal) and they can't find any issue. Annoyingly they said it was just one of those things.

Lallydallydune · 24/11/2024 14:24

The womb is a biochemical factory. A lot can happen in it.

We know as women when something is not ok. It's annoying because my periods were like clock work too now they are 3-7-9 days late and are extremely painful, the week I ovulate is the worst the pain I've had today has been nasty, it's made me feel sick, dizzy, I've had cramps and pain.

No im not I’ve had this going on for a good 6 months. Hence why I went to the GP and got referred for an internal scan.

The GPS and internal scans on the national health system don't really look for much, in my experience. They're not bothered.

My GP sent me for an internal scan. And they told me that everything was normal.

However I knew something was wrong.

So I paid for am internal scan with a different company. And they found a fibroid in my womb.

Same type of scan. But the people that I paid to do it, looked more carefully
