Endo exhaustion

I've recently been diagnosed with endometriosis and I've read that one of the side effects is feeling tired all the time. Pre diagnosis I thought that I was ' just a tired person' but it all seems to make more sense now. I have 3 under 6 and breastfeeding/cosleeping with the youngest so that doesn't help with the tiredness obviously. But the sheer level of exhaustion is something else. I am so wiped most of the time. Don't get me wrong, I can go about day to day stuff fine but I always just feel so shattered. Any fellow endo sufferers got any tips? Thanks

Fellow endo sufferer here! Sorry to hear you're feeling so tired. As you say it's very common. Personally changing my diet helped a bit (no gluten, dairy & soya) as that had an impact on my inflammation levels during my period. I'm also now on the Mirena coil. Sometimes though I just have to be kind to myself if I have had a very busy few days & am then exhausted. For example I've taken it easy today & will go to bed early tonight as I went away for the weekend. I knew this would happen though & made sure not to make any major plans for the next few days to give me time to rest. I wish I didn't have to factor that in & feel resentful that my body doesn't work like other peoples but acceptance is the key here.

Thanks @ClarenceH that's really helpful. Getting the coil fitted in the next few weeks and really hoping it helps as I'm in agony! Did you find it painful getting it fitted? I've heard some horror stories!

Sorry only just seen this! I got my coil fitted at a BSGE (Specialist endo) clinic. Was given a local anaesthetic & had a consultant & 2 nurses present. There was no way I was going to my normal GP surgery to have it done. Might be worth you looking into this.
