I have a drs appointment tomorrow for them to look/assess prolapse as I am sure I have one and constantly leak urine

Can anyone tell me what to expect? I'm panicking now so much so I want to cancel but I need to go as

I'd suggest seeing a physio who specialises in pelvic floor. Exercising your pelvic floor after an examination by a specialist physio might well help

Are you on topical oestrogen? That might help too

@kluesme how did your appointment go?

I also have a prolapse which got considerably worse a few weeks ago and now I’m constantly leaking. Do you know what type of prolapse you have?
my doctor referred me to gynaecological service which I’m waiting to hear from and Continence Services who have a 2 year wait for the first telephone appointment

I've just come back from an "on the day appointment" and been told I have a prolapse. Freaking out a bit. Waiting for an appointment with my own GP to have a full assessment and see what needs to be done. Can't believe your wait is 2 years.....

Can you self refer to these, or is it only through the GP? Thanks for any advice...I'm so worried about it 😢

Your GP can offer you treatment for the urinary incontinence and/or referral to the women's physio service. Do you know what stage you are?

Thanks for the reply. No not yet. Just had a quick exam by an "on the day doctor" and given the news. She said she would send me for ultrasound and do a full speculum exam if I was her patient. Told to book an appointment with regular GP - all they could offer was a telephone appt with male GP to assess. Hopefully he refers me to a female GP and Pelvic Physio (fingers crossed)
