Painful lower back

Started 3months ago totally random no injury or strain , lower back just above my bottom and sometimes tailbone pain too . Seems to radiate into hips sometimes and trochanters (if thats the correct term -the bit where your legs join pelvis). Some random pelvic twinges too along old c section scar too.
Wakes me in the night - some days I don't feel it at all and other days its a struggle to get through the day.
Seen GP Took bloods nil of significance found .Had a pelvic xray.
Gets better when I get in 'cat curl' yoga position or squat .Sitting in office, driving or sofa makes it worse. Walking is fine no pain at all.
Taking ibruprofen with little impact .
I'm 56 post menopausal and don't take any meds normally.
Anyone any experience of similar?
No sure if I should see an oesteopath or general physiotherapist .
Any experience or advice gratefully received .

I’ve had problems with lower back, glutes and hips. Physio confirmed my lower back was inflexible so I’ve been focusing on lots of lower back stretches. Cow/cat have been really helpful as have lots of hip opening stretches.
i also do tons of yoga, Pilates and isolation work to help strengthen abductors, glutes and back and nerve flossing (to help release the sciatic nerve).
You probably need to see a very good physio who should be able to confirm the issue.
Do you stand a lot with your job? I always find sitting down at 90 degrees uncomfortable. My issues were caused by standing all day and using my right side too much. Imbalances in the body can cause huge issues.
