I didn't want to read and run. How do you feel?

Can you do a pregnancy test?

That looks like the beginning of my 6wk MC
I can upload picture. Miscarriage bleeding is different to a period

Karmaisac4t · 29/09/2024 11:42

I pass blood clots like that and bigger unfortunately every period but I have PCOS, might be worth speaking to the GP and they can refer you to gynea.

I'm very clotty and personally wouldn't be stressed about that.

Doggymummar · 29/09/2024 14:05

Looks like when I passed a fibroid

How old are you OP? I'm 44 and all of my periods for the last 2 years or so look like that, usually days 2-4 inclusive. I believe it is a common enough perimenopause symptom if you're of that vintage. Also very common with fibroids and PCOS sufferers.

I wouldn't worry, seems normal to me especially if you have had a negative pregnancy test and no pain. Hopefully it's just a one off

07whatever · 30/09/2024 06:59

I've had plenty of these, some even that big I've felt them come out.
I do have PCOS though.
Nothing to worry about, just look extremely scary!

My MC at 6 weeks contained greyish-pinky tissue which very definitely wasn't a blood clot. I did bleed as well but remember distinctly seeing very un-periodlike tissue. (I'm assuming it was bits of the beginnings of the placenta as an embryo really wouldn't have been visible.)

Are you on any hormonal birth control or anything like that? I'm much older than you Grin (51) and taking HRT. A couple of cycles ago I think I over-took the progesterone component because I'd lost track of how many days I'd taken it. I had a really painful period and felt faint with the pain - and passed what I now know was a partial 'cast' of the uterus - the lining but mostly in one piece! I'm associating that with the possibly heavier does of progesterone than I should have had.

but all that's just anecdotal. As with any women's gynae issue, you will know your body and your uterus and cycles better than anyone, and if something feels amiss then do see your GP, who can refer for a pelvic scan if she feels it's needed. Smile

No, I'm not on any contraception.
