Hair loss in perimenopause

I'm 43 and have always had loads of very thick hair (cursed it when I was younger!!!)
But I've started to notice it is thinning, especially around the area I wear a parting/before my fringe.
I definitely don't want to change my hairstyle as I look horrific without a fringe.
Is this normal and anything I can do about it?
It's shit getting old 😞

This happened to me around peri menopause. l saw my GP and found my ferritin levels were very low . l was veggie at the time and l also had very heavy periods so was prescribed iron for about a year. This helped as did hrt, and the combination of both stopped the hair fall. l never regained my previous very thick hair but it improved and didn't get any worse. These days I also take biotin tablets as a precaution.

I’m 42 and have noticed my once very thick hair is now much much thinner. I’m not on HRT and haven’t really researched if there is anything that can be done to stop it

Watching, as I'm having this too (aged 48) despite hrt and multivitamins and relatively low stress levels at the moment.

Iron tablets really slower my hair loss, I was losing handfuls every day. It's been ok for a while, but recently I have noticed it's falling out a lot again, and I am feeling really tired again.

Thanks so much all - it's hard not to feel all alone in this, I think especially as I have a young child too (just turned 4).
Is it normal to feel tired a lot too? I'm starting a new teaching job September (2.5 days) and also starting a MSc in Child Couselling at my local uni. As well as sorting the three kids I'm worried I'm going to be on my knees!!!
I do take a multivit.

@Youthiswastedontheyoung don't just take a multivitamin, I'd take a ferrous sulphate and a vitamin B complex separately. I've also been taking something called ashwaganda which has really helped my anxiety and general perimenopause-ness

Make Rosemary water and rosemary oil.

It's fantastic x

Only after addressing the root cause of hair loss.
