Loss of weight post birth

Hello all.
I posted a few weeks ago about losing a lot of weight post birth and many of you mentioned thyroid. Well I had my bloods done and they all came back normal. I’ve also had a scan done on my femal reproductive areas and nothing came back other than a small bleeding cyst on my ovary. My doctor is calling me for a follow up but this isnt until August!

Another person since then has said ‘have you lost weight’ I’m getting so worried now. I’m still feeling so tired, dizzy, weak and STARVING! I’ve never eaten as much. I am now feeling I have to cover myself up because I look skinny to avoid people pointing it out. It’s awful! I know loads of mums may say ‘you’re lucky’ but I’m genuinely not wanting to be like this!!

does anyone have any idea on what other tests I can push for? I know my body and know when something isn’t right.

or could it just possibly be that I am running around after an active toddler and looking after my 5 month old?? Im in denial that this could make me lose this much weight?

also I don’t think I’m sleep deprived, I get around 5.5 hrs average a night according to my Apple Watch and this has been pretty much the same since birth. My baby doesn’t sleep through the night. I go to bed at 1130pm after late feed, then up between 4/5 for a feed and then manage to catch around 45 mins to an hour after this feed before my toddler wakes us up. I then sometimes wake up between these times for dummy runs.

and for those who missed my last post I do not breast feed.

Are you breast feeding, are you keeping your calorie intake high enough to compensate if so?

5.5 hours sleep is pretty good for that baby stage but still not ideal to keep you feeling healthy and rested so maybe it’s the combination of that and two small ones to look after.

@Bettedaviseyes111 sorry just edited to say I’m not breastfeeding! Hoping it is just the running around x

I lost so much weight after my 2nd was born. Though i was breastfeeding. I think there was more to it than that though because even once I stopped I didn't get any better for several months, basically once baby got more mobile and not stuck to me 24/7 anymore.

Sleep deprivation played a part too since I wasn't regaining any energy that way.

I did start making high calorie smoothies which helped, using oats, peanut butter, yoghurt, seeds, fruit and protein powder.

@OhLookAnotherDay I know a few people who have lost loads due to breastfeeding. It’s an amazing thing but can take a huge toll on you. I did combi feed for around 5 weeks but it didn’t work out and my baby had tongue tie.

This is what worries me because I’m not breastfeeding and so many mums on my group are saying how much they’re putting on but I’m the opposite. I don’t feel attractive in myself as my clothes don’t fit me well anymore and my bum and boobs have disappeared 😯

im only 28 so im worried that im ill or something. It’s made even worse by some family members thinking Im doing it on purpose which is really upsetting. (My partner can vouch for me on that one)

My Watch says I do around 10,000 steps on average a day burning around 400 cals which is just from pottering around the house etc as I don’t get time to exercise anymore. But again I thought this was average and I eat 3 meals a day and pudding and sometimes snacks too when I get 5 minutes to myself.

i might try the shakes you mentioned
