Lump on floor of mouth

Hi
I found a very old thread on here where someone was asking for advice on a lump they found on the floor of their mouth. It doesn’t appear to be accessible anymore which is a shame as I wanted to know that persons outcome as I too have a lump in the floor of my mouth and am, quite obviously, bricking it as being something sinister.
It isn’t an ulcer, or ranula - it feels like a little ball bearing, which is painless and movable.
I have a doctors appointment for in 2 weeks time, but was hoping that in the meantime I might get some other stories/experiences that can prepare me for what it may be.
Many thanks in advance for any feedback.

It’s difficult to get a selfie of inside your mouth 😆 but here goes…

Could be a blocked salivary gland but you're right to get it checked. If you wanted to be seen sooner your dentist is trained to check and refer you onto max facs if necessary

seeing a dentist would also be my recommendation op

I had a lump on the roof of my mouth that was removed.

See a dentist op, mine referred me to maxilo-facial surgeon and it was examined and then I had surgery to remove.

Dentist is definitely the best call. Just say it's urgent when you ask for the appointment.

Mine was nothing sinister though obviously I was very worried until the lab confirmed.

I had one of these recently, at the bottom behind my lower teeth, it was tiny and hard but not painful per se. I did see a dentist and mine was apparently a blocked salivary gland. She said to drink more water.
It’s gone now.

Did you ever find out what this was? I’ve got something similar.

No I didn’t. But I did have an ultrasound and they ruled out anything sinister. It went away on its own accord after several weeks of slowly decreasing in size.
But it does occasionally come back, like right now when I’m a bit run down with a cold. It’s not troublesome though.

Thank you for replying I’m so glad it wasn’t anything sinister.
