Retroverted uterus and cannot perform hysteroscopy - please help

Today, my hysteroscopy failed agin due to my acute retroverted uterus. The doctor simply can not reach the polyps from my very retroverted uterus. This is the second hysteroscopy attempt of a procedure that is supposed to be simple and straight forward. I am just so exhausted and frustrated. I have to undergo the hysteroscopy.
Can anyone with similar experience or knowledge help please?
Thank you all very much in advance.

What have they suggested? Next steps probably depend a bit on what the indication for the scope is/what the risks of not doing it vs the risks of persisting with a difficult examination are. If it's that they can't access your uterus because it's too painful due to the retroversion or they need use kit that wouldn't normally be well tolerated awake then having it done under anaesthesia (either spinal or GA) might be appropriate. If it's that they think there's no way they'll ever be able to get in even with anaesthesia then next steps probably depend on what they're looking for/worried about. I'd pass your questions back to them and see what they suggest.

The doctor who failed me twice referred me to his colleague - who is more experienced in uncommon cases like mine. He suggested to try under GA or drink water so the bladder could push the uterus back a little. Not sure if it is possible...I am so worried.

So it sounds like they're making a sensible plan then - it doesn't sound like they've 'failed you' - sometimes it just isn't possible to achieve it in the clinic. It isn't terribly uncommon to need to do them under anaesthetic for a variety of reasons. Hope the next go goes better.

I have a retroverted uterus. I had my hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic because I was booked for a D&C as well. The surgeon was able to remove polyps and take biopsies.
I was battered and bruised afterwards and felt unwell if I stood for too long up to a week later.
I would always insist on a GA for this procedure.
