Hi,

I know it is such an emotional thing and there are so many for’s and against not letting nature carry it’s course.

Could having a hysterectomy rid you of all problems down below? eg. if you’ve fibroids that can’t be treated, never know where you are with your cycles etc

My only worry is my under active thyroid could go hey wire if there are no periods to go by (remember a doctor in my 20’s saying periods are one of the things to be effected if not on top of meds) but then I don’t want years of all the problems anymore. Realistically I’ve three medical conditions which make for a low libido and don’t see myself having children, not now.

I’ve been catching up on EastEnders and the Sonia storyline with a thin lining seems to indicate that she might not be able to carry a pregnancy.

I have an underactive thyroid and 3 other chronic health conditions.
I had fibroids, endometriosis, horrendous periods and pain.
My hysterectomy was life changing. Thyroid fine. No longer anaemic, no pain, no bleeding so heavily I can’t leave the house. Honestly, I’m just so angry I had to wait so long, suffering all that time, to have it done.
