Mini pill

I’ve been taking cerezette for 2 years and I’ve had no issues. Before that I tried sever other brands and they gave me awful side effects so I’ve never switched.
I requested a repeat prescription and the gp has given me a different pill called zelleta. Now I’m panicking it will give me side effects and mess up the pattern I have with cerezette.
can anyone share their experiences on this one and any issues from changing pill? Or should I contact the gp to re prescribe me cerezette?

Is it not effectively the same?

Cerazette / Cerelle / Zelleta / Generic Desogestrel are all different versions of the same “mini pill”. They all contain the active ingredient desogestrel 75mg which is a type of synthetic progestogen. If taken on day one of your menstrual cycle, it will provide immediate protection from pregnancy.

Buy it off prescription.

I wouldn’t trust my doctor and will go back to paying for each quarterly supply when I get rid of this stick the coil where the sun doesn’t shine.

£20 for 3 months supply round here. I’ve brought diabetics testing strips before now when my surgery have felt like playing god.

If it’s the same drug and same dose shouldn’t cause a problem. My surgery gives me different ones and I’ve had no issue.
I presume it’s like Neurofen vs own brand ibuprofen - same drug different packaging?
