Hi, I have been told I have laxity of anterior wall after traumatic birth 3 years ago. I had vontouse, eppisiotomy and lost sensation of when I need to pee. I'm now 37 weeks pregnant and have a cough. I have done so well pelvic floor wise throughout pregnancy (in sense I felt ok) but with the cough everything feels even looser and when I cough the top wall sags down briefly then goes back up. Has this happened to anyone else and gone back to base line after? I'm so down about it. I have c section booked for week after next which stresses me enough and now this :( just feel tired. So far a midwife has told me it will be because the baby is head down in my pelvis and when I cough its pressing down. I also got a hemoroid and again have been told its weight of baby. I'm so anxious 😟

I had horrendous haemorroids with an overdue baby and it was the only time in my pregnancy that I lay down (with a pack of frozen peas between my arse cheeks) and cried and felt I could not go on. All the Dr could say was that i just needed to give birth to relieve the pressure... Giving birth did give immediate relief but my poor arsehole has never really recovered.
Thank goodness it is not on show.

Good luck with your birth.

Crikey that sounds horrid :( I got a hemoroid 2 weeks ago and was like oh come on really! 😄 I freaked out and got it checked as I didn't know what it was to start! Has it gotten better? I have upped my kiwi intake and used anusol and the wipes....

OP you are lucky
Even if you do have a tiny prolapse, you can see a pelvic floor therapist afterwards, do the physio and you'll never know there was a problem.

Good luck.
