Hair thinning in early 30s

Any proven or positive tips for hair loss/thinning? I think mine is linked with pregnancies over the years, nutrition deficiencies, over all -- trauma and stress.

Any tips please for holistic therapies? Vitamins? Foods? Shampoos or treatments... lifestyle changes?!

Anything.

Also would it be good to cut my hair shorter so not as much is needing help? It's down my back at the moment..

I find that it's thinning, and gets block/oily on the roots but nothing from the ears down.. i hate washing it too much (usually every two or so days as I hate the over washing as I know that's not good. But if I leave it.. it looks greasy on top. I'm naturally dark hair, fair and freckle skinned so it's noticeable.

Ferritin levels need to be above 70 iirc for health hair growth, low b12/vitamin D/Folate and thyroid issues can all affect hair. Have you had recent blood tests?

Do you tie it up tightly? I used to always wear mine in a very tight high ponytail and it caused almost a small bald patch at the top. Now I take it down and tie it very loosely as soon as I get home and it's sorted the problem.

It's always down or a loose bun.

I haven't had one recently but they've been ok in the past (except the pregnancies, terribly low all the time and for a while after each 4 babies when feeding etc) but my youngest is 7.5 now.

I think genes and stress is a lot and the nutrition

I struggle to eat due to anxiety and adhd

You need to eat properly I’m afraid. It’s common in actual eating disorders. You can check ferritin with a blood test (as noted above) but it won’t come back unless you make a proper meal plan and stick to it.

It's something I really struggle with and not sure what to try with an eating plan. Even when I have better periods of eating well it will show up in other ways like my skin will be bad etc
