Perimenopause Pins and Needles?

Mitherations · 26/01/2024 13:20

Has anyone else experienced pins and needles as a perimenopausal symptom? Mood and other associated random physical joys are managed well with HRT but this is a new one. Sporadic full arm/leg tingling for no apparent reason, right arm first for a couple of weeks and now the left leg has joined in.

The phrase Youth is Wasted on the Young has recently started to hold new meaning!

It is not listed as a possible cause on the NHS page.

I would always get persistent pins and needles checked, which is what the NHS advice is. It can be something or nothing. Pins and needles - NHS (www.nhs.uk)

Pins and needles

Read about pins and needles (paraesthesia), a pricking, burning, tingling or numbing sensation that's usually felt in the arms, legs, hands or feet.

@Mitherations did you manage to find out what your pins and needles were caused by? I am experiencing similar. I have heard that it is a peri symptom and am wondering if it's that!

I go through phases of pins and needles in my fingertips - have done for the past year or so. I had bloods done that didn't show up anything concerning (I suspected low B12) so I've been blaming it on peri.
