Itchy hemorrhoids or dreaded worms

Hi- just looking for a bit of reassurance.
i have been plagued by itchy piles for the last 3 years. They are internal and external and are constantly itchy, stinging and burning. Luckily, i have had no bleeding or severe pain.
i have used germaloids and also prescription scheriproct. It helps for a few days- then itchy again.

My kids have had worms a few times in the last few years and now i am worried that i have worms and piles. I have taken loads if ovex but i just can’t get rid of the anxiety.

I feel sore, crawly, tingly, twitchy. Is it just the hemorrhoids?

Hard to tell but if I were you, I'd just treat yourself with Ovex and carry on with the anusol/germaloids. Take a look at your diet too - when I'm unhealthy, I struggle in a similar fashion.

Ultimately, there's no need for you to be in this much discomfort. See your GP?

Thanks. I have taken ovex along with the kids and am still itchy.
it just feels like a crawly/tingly feeling and i just wanted to know it piles can feel like that?

I have had piles and threadworms several times (4 DC = lots of threadworm and piles, joy!) Piles can absolutely feel itchy like threadworms. I think the most notable difference is that Threadwom related itchiness is primarily at nighttime - a few hours after you have gone to sleep - whereas piles can be itchy and painful at any point in the day.

That's a really good point.

Nighttime itchiness = 🪱
