Peri and forgetting words

Is it normal to forget words in your 40's.
I seem to be forgetting things lately, I am always, like everyone a little more stressed at this time of year.
For example I couldn't remember the word bubble wrap the other day and called it that popping thing for protecting things.
I seem ok at work but at home can go upstairs for something and bring something else down and forget the original thing I went for, although once down I tend to remember I forgot it.
I don't seem to forgot appointments, birthdays, events etc.
I think I'm currently peri menopausal.
I just worry it's the start of dementia, although my mum and Grandma didn't get diagnosed with dementia until late 70's.

I'm late 30s and have been wondering if I'm peri myself. Lately I'm just forgetting what I've gone into a room for, or what I was going to look up on my phone mere seconds after. And I definitely forget words for things. Many things are doofas now🤣

Times I thought I had early dementia (starting in myn30’s) were actually low B12, Hypothyroidism, Vitamin D deficiency and then low ferritin. Peri then came along and brain fog was a factor. Magnesium L Threonate can be good for mental clarity during menopause, but it would be a good idea to speak to the GP to rule out any underlying causes.

Normal, I think. In the throes of perimenopause in my 40s I'd be chatting with my family, would forget a word and get very frustrated trying to explain what I meant, while my DH and teenagers would have great fun trying to guess what I was trying to say. So annoying!

Funnily enough I was fine at work, just when I got home and started to relax I'd forget things.

I'm a few years post menopause now and thankfully it doesn't happen any more.
