Ozempic - weight loss

Can someone pls shed more light on the use of ozempic for weight loss pls.

My weight is getting out of control and I am wondering if I can ask my GP for ozempic for weight loss use. I need to loose weight because is not helping my hypertension etc.

Will the GP even agree to prescribe ozempic for weight loss? Or will I have to get a prescription privately?

Mixed view, sorry.

When up the hospital a week ago they said my bmi is bad despite losing 3 stone on Saxenda and keeping 2 stone off for many months despite ‘suddenly’ the Saxenda brand going off shelves in replace of this next latest miracle pen… where no one actually knows the long term side effects... After getting out of hospital earlier this year my surgery switched me from private paying patient to receiving ligratide on prescription, what a mistake that was.

Most recently as suggested by a junior diabetic nurse at my gp I keep trying for lirgatide whenever I can on each prescription I then get a snooty message lately from the GP pharmacy telling me head nurse Monica thinks I’m a ‘greatly controlled’ diabetic and now don’t need the injections, thanks Monica but I was on the injections when you consider the last Hbc1 result. It’s a bit like the under active thyroid of nearly 23 years which they (the gp surgery) can’t be bothered to test on time, it’s only yearly but what’s the bother thinks my GP surgery no doubt.

I’ve now got gynaecology and uti problems I’ve really no idea if linked to these amazing ‘old’ weight loss injections. Let alone why I’m pumping 100mg of metformin or 150gm of levothyroxine onto my body daily for a joke with no one paying an eye on anything.

Take a look at the Mounjaro threads.
It's changed my life.
You're unlikely to get any prescribed by your GP though.

Hypertension wont qualify you.

Youll need to pay privately

Injections or tablets or weird concoctions. Ive struggled too. Now I lost 3 stone in 3 months. I found some FREE information online which I ignored first because its kind of obvious but I went back to few months ago and went through it and made my list like it said. Don't guess. I couldn't believe it, I lost nearly 1 stone in the first month. It's 3 1/2 months and I'm happy with my weight now. I searched for hours on the internet and I'm glad I found it. Doesn't matter if you're diabetic or anything. Try it's free but I went back and donated 20 quid to them because they were right. You don't have to pay anything but trust me you want to do this system to lose weight permanently. https://slender-body.net
