Gynaecologist recommendation for rectocele repair

I have got a bad rectocele prolapse which has recently got worse and have been referred to a gynaecologist via NHS but don't think I can wait any longer. I would like to see someone Asap to see what they think to get it fixed as soon as I can.
Could anyone recommend a gynaecologist in the South Gloucestershire, North Wiltshire, North Somerset area please?

The best person to repair a rectocoele is a colorectal specialist. I had mine repaired by a gynae years ago and it failed after a few months. I’ve lived with it for a long time, then was referred by GP to colorectal specialist. They did lots of tests looking at the muscle structure of the rectum , pressure within the rectum etc and concluded the connective tissue between the bowel and my vagina had failed. Repair would have been an abdominal approach to place mesh between the two. My surgeon stressed the mesh used now is not the problem mesh used in the mesh cases, but something derived from pig gelatin (I think). He quoted catastrophic failure of 1% for the surgery which given I have a good sex life and just have to manage constipation, I opted not to proceed.

I think with gynae repair they are only interested in tightening the vaginal muscles, but if the internal support has gone, there’s nothing to hold the poo back from re-creating the bulge.
The surgeon did say if I were to change my mind I should ask for him, because not all CR surgeons were familiar with the procedure, so you might want to do some research on your surgeon. I’m in Scotland so probably not much help re recommendations.
