If it continues, please see a doctor. Seriously, do not put it off. It may be completely harmless but there are a few serious possibilities. Maybe ask for a diabetes test and also consider (and be honest with the doctor) how often you drink.

Unless you're very lucky, you probably won't get an appointment immediately, so keep a diary for the doctor of the details: what time of day the feeling starts and ends. Whether it's every day. Whether there's a rash or discolouration, exactly where the feeling is, any other unusual symptoms. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply. I’ll set up an appointment… I hope it does not take long.

wjat could it be effecting both legs? I see a very tiny rash that’s clear if I see under a glass

@Ritz3012, well, I'm certainly no expert, so please take this with a major grain of salt. It might actually be a good thing if there is a rash because (as far as I know) the majority of rashes are dermatological (skin conditions). The more serious possibilities are not dermatological. However, please do keep that diary and see a doctor.

If it's on both legs, I'm wondering if you touched something you're allergic to. Did you go out in the garden or running in the woods recently with shorts on? Have you started using any new body lotions or other products in the area? Have you switched on your electric blanket recently? Have you started wearing fluffy pajamas (I have had rashes from those rubbing on my dry skin)?

Really try to think about anything you've done new lately. There's a change of seasons going on, so it is likely you've used some new product or worn something new that's irritating the skin or causing an allergic reaction. I do hope it's that!
