Coil Removal & Insertion

Hi, will try to not be too gross but following on from a mirena coil removal & a new one inserted yesterday evening. When I got home I went to use the bathroom & had some bleeding & am now worried that the coil may have come out, anyone know if this is possible or at all likely or am I worrying about nothing?
I know you are meant to be able to feel the threads but I can't & have never been able to with the previous device either.

anyone? it's so frustrating as I can't get an appointment to have it checked for another 4 weeks & i'd rather not waste Dr's time if not necessary

How much is "some" bleeding?

I'm on my third Mirena, having had them well for over a decade. So two replacements. Each time, I experienced some pinkish/reddish discharge, enough that I felt I had to wear a panty liner for a few hours. I think most of the discharge was probably just the lubricant and anaesthetic gel.

I suspect that you would notice if the device actually came out.

I've never been able to feel the threads either.

thank you for your reply, it was a fair bit but I am on blood thinner medication so would expect a little more. Felt like maybe a clot or something a bit more than the lubricant etc

Maybe safest to get it checked I think

Bleeding is normal after this plus will take a bit before the new one operates properly. You can go back for a check up.

thank you - have a check up appointment booked for this evening
