I'm beginning to think I might just slowly bleed to death

Sorry for the goady title.

I am at a loss again.
I'm 54 and have been bleeding for about 18 months. I have low grade period pain and an irritated bladder
I've tried everything, medication, coils ( they fall out)

I've had a fibroid removed, it made things worse not better. I have a bulky uterus.

I've had a Zoladex injection 3 weeks ago but that turned the bleeding on like a tap again.

I'm anaemic again, even though I had an iron infusion at the end of March which was supposed to last about a year.

I've ended up taking Norethisterone again as well as the Zoladex to reduce things to a trickle. A constant trickle. Without the Norethisterone it's a clot filled flood. I probably shouldn't have the two together.

I'm not on the list for a hysterectomy as I'm too fat ( see earlier thread) but I'm hoping next time I see the gynaecologist he will add me as I'm making an effort)
Even so the list is 18 months long.
I bleed all the time.
I'm self employed so no sick leave.
GP is referring me for a pelvic ultrasound and a CA125 blood test ( ovarian cancer marker)

I haven't been offered an ablation. I think it might be the only thing left to try.

I'm feeling sorry for myself this morning as I woke up in a puddle.

Lots of sympathy. It’s so exhausting.
I would probably try the ablation.
I was in a similar position with constant bleeding but luckily it was resolved by removing a fibroid.

I wonder if I paid for a hysterectomy would the parameters change? Obviously I still need to lose weight but maybe not as much??

Worth finding out.

I'm having mine do privately and they never mentioned weight. My BMI was 32 when I saw the consultant, though I've since lost two stone. The were also able to offer a date pretty quickly (though I ended up opting to take drugs to shrink the fibroids for three months period to the operation).

for three months prior to the operation that should be

You have my sympathies as well.

Weight should not be a barrier here into getting treatment. If finances allow, go private. NHS waiting lists for gynaecology in particular are miles long.

I had this issue and in my case the only procedure that stopped the bleeding was endometrial ablation surgery. Constant rises and falls of both estrogen and progesterone hormone levels (I have endometriosis and PCOS) led to this non stop bleeding.
