Who do you ask to help you do kegels whilst pregnant

Who in the array of healthcare professionals or people you hire would teach you kegels?

I have terrible proprioception. I have a personal trainer to correct my form each time I exercise as I really struggle to know what muscle is doing what. My personal trainer is male. Before this, I just used to damage myself.

I have been trying to do kegels (already have some incontinence issues whilst vomiting.)I am 11 weeks pregnant. Apps, instructions etc. aren’t any help. I really have no idea if I am doing anything right.. and from personal experience I am likely doing it wrong.

Looked at eggs and things and they say you aren’t meant to use whilst pregnant. Which I get - infection risk would be a big worry for me putting anything up there.

I would be willing to pay someone for lessons or is this something that I tell the midwife helpline? I don’t have a midwife appointment for at least a month. I got referred to the pelvic health team but I’ve had nothing back from the NHS for the 2 weeks since my first midwife appointment (about anything at all - is this also normal?)

My friends are all confused that I need help but they are all sporty people who all so coordinated they play team sports as adults or even attend dance classes where they perform in public. I cannot stress how bad I am - at school I scored A/A+ for effort and D for ability in PE for all years.

I recently had a baby and went for a ‘Mummy MOT’ - the physiotherapist assessed my pelvic floor and checked that I was doing pelvic floor exercises correctly. Was really useful - you could speak to one of the physios trained in women’s health and see if they could help you with this.

As pp, i saw a women's health physio after DD1 when i had some pelvic floor damage, and she did an internal exam whilst i did kegels. She then corrected my technique and checked i was doing them correctly before sending me on my way. It was very reassuring!
