What does ‘borderline’ mean after pelvic ultrasound

I had a scan of my pelvis / abdomen due to pelvic pressure feeling. I have the nhs app and under my test results there’s a note back to my GP saying ‘borderline. Needs to speak to doctor’. Obviously I will call on Monday but wondered if anyone else has had this result. I’ve had the ca125 blood test which was normal but I know it doesn’t rule out cancer so I’m freaking out big time. Feel a total mess with anxiety

Hi, do you mind me asking what happened with this? Just had a similar situation where my ultrasound result is borderline and I have to wait to speak to a doctor next week. How did things go for you? Hope you’re doing okay x

I had this a few years ago, lining of uterus was thicker than should be. Had a hysteroscopy and all was fine. Problem is, without knowing which part of the pelvic the "borderline" is referring to it is hard to tell. But if it's reassuring at all, i had a 6-inch dermoid cyst removed from my pelvis following a worrying scan and it was completely benign and what I learned during that time is that there are many, many benign reasons for unusual findings in a women's pelvis all of which are far more likely than a cancer diagnosis so keep that in mind.
