Combined pill continuous use

Hi all-
I am on combined pill (millinette 20) and get on well with it.. don't have a break and this was fine at my old doctors.

Current gp is saying you need to have the 7 day break and if not need to go on progesterone only pill (which doesn't agree with me).
I know this is not what the current literature suggest with it being more and more we'll know you DONT need the break on the combined pill.

I love this pill suits me and I'm worried if I start having the break I will get the same issue as before which is depression on the run up to my period and worsening of my health condition whilst on period.

Meh :( - any suggestions?

I thought you had to have a break, to have a bleed and thin the endometrium, every so often.

I don't think you do.. but I mean I could handle that every 3 months or so but she's just point blank said.. you need the break.

Maybe I can try and argue I would have a break every 3 months.

I think every 3 months would be reasonable. My DD has PCOS and agreed to take medication to make her bleed every 3 months.

Do you not get any breakthrough bleeding taking it back to back? You could take for a few months and have a break of up to 7 days (some places suggests a 4 day break). I dont know why the GP says you need a break tbh, it's really not required as long as you don't get breakthrough bleeding

Might be worth printing to take with you.

Spoke to another dr on the phone.
She's prescribed it so I can take it continuously and have a period every 3 months. That will do.!
