Endometriosis and problematic period

My endometriosis symptoms have started to return after a successful laparoscopy 2 ish years ago.

I'm really struggling this time round, however, with really, really, really heavy periods. They were heavy before but I could keep on top of them with a nightie pad and a tampon.

Nothing is working this time. I am just constantly flooding and leaking.

Whilst I await my Gynae appointment, has anyone got any tried and tested solutions that may stop me having to change every hour to 2 hours?

No, sorry no advice. I feel for you. Had similar with fibroids. So draining. Feel for you. Hope some advice comes on here.

Are you taking iron? Heavy periods can cause your iron/ferritin levels to drop a lot. Taking iron strangely does seem to make periods less heavy

I really feel for you. Like the above comment mentioned, are you taking iron?
My periods were extremely heavy however since I've upped my iron they have improved. Still heavy but more manageable.

May I ask how old you are?. I’m wondering if peri menopause is also a factor.

The only pill that stopped my flooding and leaking (due mainly to peri menopause but in part also due to endo) was northisterone. This was given to me in the weeks prior to uterine ablation surgery.

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm going to try iron to see if that helps 😁 especially as more than one poster has suggested it.

I'm 33 for the poster that asked
