Why would the supplements be unsuitable?

Sorry for long intro

I have had disrupted sleep for years and am quite a light sleeper. About 8 years ago I started waking in the night really anxious about work/financial worries. I would be sweaty, panicky, heart beating fast, stomach churning etc. I would have "episodes" of that type of disrupted sleep for a few days and the subsequent days I would feel anxious, shaky etc then sleep better (but still not well) for a few months.
In 2020 it worsened and I had weeks where I was sleeping 2-4 hrs a night. I had some counselling and also other areas of life improved, and my sleep improved.
Recently I went through another period of bad sleep although I wasn't worrying or anxious about things, but after several days of poor sleep would feel anxious and shaky during the day.

I read a few weeks ago on MN that magnesium could help with sleep and I (somewhat skeptically) bought some . I also got another supplement called calm - night reset. I feel they are working - I'm also trying to go to bed earlier - even despite the v hot weather. I fall asleep quicker, and seem to sleep more deeply. On 2 nights my DD and DH came in after I had gone to bed and I didn't even hear them come in! (the cats using the cat flap downstairs sometimes wakes me)

However I read the pack yesterday and it said unsuitable for pregnant and bf women, unsuitable for women under 50(childbearing age) and unsuitable for those under 18. They weren't in a menopause section, and the website blurb just says not for pregnant or bf women...
So now unsure if I should continue using them....
Any ideas of why it would be unsuitable? (I'm mid 40s) will they disrupt my menstrual cycle? (I'm also having issues with that!!)

Do they have melatonin listed in the ingredients?

If you're mid 40s and you can't sleep and are having an erratic menstrual cycle, you would benefit from HRT if you are able to take it..

I started HRT in January and now I sleep like a log every night. It's been life changing. No sweats, no needing a wee, no restless nights like I had before.

For me (45) the real benefit kicked in when I moved onto a patch of 100mg of oestrogen.

I'd say because the ingredients can't be tested on feotuses and children, they say over 50 so that chance is minimal.
I'd say hrt is probably thr answer too.
