What is going on in my body?

I have a GP appointment in 2 weeks to discuss this but I’m wracking my brain and the internet to try and figure out what’s going on as I am really struggling day to day.
I will list the facts to keep it short:
I am 34, I have one child age 6. I had an ovary removed in my teens due to an enormous cyst. I had hyperthyroidism for many years and eventually had the radioactive iodine which then eventually made me hypo so I’m medicated for that. I have a mirena coil which was a life saver from horrific heavy periods and PMS for the first 3 years. Then about 18 months ago my periods started just dragging on and on until I realised I had been bleeding lightly for 3 months straight and contacted the GP. They did tests and sent for a scan, all was fine. After a few more months the bleeding stopped and life went back to normal.
A couple of months ago the constant bleeding started again. But now I have PMS symptoms all the time. I seem to have lost all regulation of my body temperature, even when it was freezing out, I was sweating through my clothes. I can’t sleep. I am having major memory problems that have gotten to the point of not having any recollection of whole phone calls. I have headaches, I feel nauseous. I’m not pregnant. What is going on? The coil is due to be changed in January, is it that?

Sounds like your thyroid is causing you problems. It's one hell of a bad boy, once it goes AWOL.

I was going to suggest peri menopause but wonder if you are a little young for that?

Definitely start with a thyroid function test i would.

Thyroid is a pain in the butt. I'm also hyperthyroid and gave a multi modular goitre. The thyroid needs to come out really, but I'm scared!

They did test that the first time my periods started going haywire and it was all good. I had a huge goitre too and it is normal size now just from the radioactive iodine as I was scared of the surgery too. Worth discussing your options if you feel surgery is not for you

Hi
It could be hormonal if you have PMS all the time. Higher than normal oestrogen levels? Low progesterone? Maybe the coil needs to come out, in an effort to try alternative options?

Endometrial problems?

I think you probably need a full MOT.
What Is your womb lining like?

It's so hard, as you feel you have to unpick every symptom to try to work out what is going on.

The body regulating thing, could be thyroid still.

Thank you for your reply. I have been leaning towards some sort of hormonal imbalance but I’m fairly certain it was all checked out the first time I presented these symptoms. I’m sure they will suggest the coil needs to come out but that gives me the fear big time. I cannot go back to life before the coil. My periods were debilitating, I would vomit for days and have such little energy I could barely get off the sofa or out of bed. I would also be severely depressed during PMS and I had absolutely no control over it. I have tried all other forms of contraction to help with all the above and the coil was the only one to actually help.
Womb lining wasn’t mentioned during the scan, apparently all looked fine.
